This series depicts a world, where childhood innocence gives way to the inevitable rebellion of creeping adulthood. Where a sudden awareness of oneself is painstakingly concealed from the controlling gaze of a parental eye.

Sinister black replaces the innocent pinks and blues of children’s bedrooms and the adolescent need for self-expression verges on destruction. Sexual awakening adorns the walls of abandoned buildings.

On the cusps of adulthood, the language of parent and child is temporarily lost. It is a world where love and pain exist next to each other, intertwined.
